Abstract:
A large number of the extended radio sources exhibit an unusual X-type morphology. These kind of radio sources exhibit some diffuse secondary wings on a different direction as the main lobes. It is our aim to re-examine and better understanding the features presented by this kind of sources. It is shown that this type of galaxies are found among the highly elliptical ones. Our supposition is that this type of morphology is possible to be seen in the case of a jet propagating in a non-spherical distribution of gas. Hydrodynamic simulations of such kind of morphology supports our model.
