Abstract:
The climate changes on a global level, the environmental and energy sources, are priorities for the most important governments and world organizations. The traditional strategies are approaches with lack efficiency. The greenhouse gas emissions increase at a constant and alarming rate. Conserving, producing and durably consuming energy are three important components in what concerns environmental protection At the local communities new strategy should be adapted to their own context and needs. This study was to assess environmental costs and benefits of moving to a model of passive house compared to using the classic Romanian house. Environmental costs and benefits for the new house model was analyzed standpoint of life cycle assessment. It is based on studies taking in account the collection of materials, energy consumption in buildings, transport distances and waste treatment methods. This approach seems to be very interesting to analyze a passive house on the environmental impact. It compares with a Norwegian house type: Useful area is 187 m2 , and presumably a lifetime of 50 years.
