Abstract:
Optical Spectra of some diffuse - reflecting pigments have been recorded to establish their trichromatic - coordinates in the CIE ) Chromaticity Diagram.
The spectral study in the 380 - 780 domain was performed using a Varian, Carry Model 118 spectrofotometer with an integrating sphere, constructed and adapted in our laboratory. Data acquisition at 5 nm interval - 81 points - has been made with a P.C having a CMA 12 - bit UIB A/D converter interface. Calculation of the CIE chromaticity coordinates of the colored samples carried out with a Visual Basic software (also made in our laboratory) is in agreement with the international standard. The experimental set-up, acquisition method and the calculation programs are suitable for any diffuse - reflecting material.
