Abstract:
The known scaling approachs for the conductivity spectra of different ionic conductors are based on the condition that the shape of the spectra is universal. Thus, using the dielectric relaxation strength as a scaling parameter for the frequency axis, the conductivity isotherms of a given ionic cconductor can be superimposed onto a master curve if the shape of these spectra does not depend on temperature. An alternative and very sensitive method to detect and analyse the differences in the shape between the spectra of various solids consists in replacement the dispersion of the permittivity by the maximum value of the imaginary part of the dielectric function. Using this scaling method for the conductivity spectra of the bismuth silicate and porous silicon, we show that the conductivity isotherms collapse onto a master curve only in a narrow range around the 1 value of the normalized frequency. The scaled spectra are shifted to lower values on the scaled frequency axis as the temperature increases and anodization current respectively, increases.
