Abstract:
Molecular dynamics has been used for the calculation of angular scattering of H2 monochromatic beam. It was simulated by using a uniform random generation of the impact coordinates together with the randomized orientation of the incident H2 molecules. Individual trajectory of atoms belonging to each molecule reveals the changes in rotational and vibration energies during the interaction with the graphite surface. The statistics of the trapped molecule has been calculated. This contribution reports the angular distribution of scattered molecules for particles energies in the range of 1 meV - 1 eV corresponding to different incident azimuthal angles of the molecular beam.
