Abstract:
Samples of silicone rubber mixed with Multi-Wall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT) with different mass content (0; 0.5; 1.5; 2; 2.5 %) were obtained. The permittivity and dielectric losses of samples were investigated on extended temperature and frequency ranges, between -150 oC and +150 oC and, respectively, between 300 Hz and 5x106 Hz. The permittivity of all samples decreases with increasing temperature, whereas the losses have low values. In addition, it was found that the permittivity have the same values for both equivalent representations for samples, series and parallel circuits. It was found that the frequency dependence of the permittivity in logarithmic scale is nearly constant up to 3 MHz. The losses have the same dependence with frequency increase as the permittivity, except at 100 kHz, where losses increases, about one order of magnitude Somme peculiarities of losses versus temperatures and frequencies were also seen. Space charge and some activated mechanism of conduction at higher temperatures seem to be responsible for these behaviors.
