Abstract:
Recently, polymer electrolytes are considered to present excellent physico-chemical properties that are useful for electrochemical energy systems. Because of the intrinsic complexity, the PVA (poly vinyl alcohol) and its derivates they have been intensively used as a polymer electrolyte due to its biocompatibility, non-toxicity, hydrophilic behaviour and mechanical properties. The goal of this study is to find a method for manufacturing polymeric network as synthesis of PVA powder and for that we prepared hydrogels crosslinked with glutaraldehide (GA 50%). The physic-mechanical properties are analyzed related to the performances need in fuel cells.
