Abstract:
In the multilayer Flexible Plastic Organic Photovoltaics structure, the PEDOT-PSS layer is used as the Hole-Collector Buffer Layer that contrôlles the hole transport efficiency, reduces the surface roughness at the PEDOT-PSS /support interface and improves ohmic properties at the PEDOT-PSS/activ layer interface. Rôle of the PEDOT-PSS layer is beneficial to obtain high efficiency photovoltaics structure because reduces the series resistence of devices. Moreover, the series resistence of the multilayer structures with PEDOT-PSS layer as anode, shows a field dependence obeying to Poole-Frenkel effect. Both the bulk phase conductivity and his interfaces properties may be modified by secondary dopaj with an organic polar solvent. Specific interactions of the polar solvent with the hydrophobic surface of PEDOT and with the hydrophilic surface of PSS enhance segregation of a conductive phase of PEDOT and a dielectric matrix PSS. Effect depends on organic polar solvent, and for a given solvent, depends on his concentration.
