Abstract: In this presentation we shall discuss various physical effects associated to the expansion of our Universe, considering a theoretical model based on specific couplings with a cubic invariant. Analyzing data from cosmic chronometers, baryon acoustic oscillations, supernovae, and quasi-stellar objects (QSOs) we study the physical implications and the possible constraints of several constant parameters. The presentation extends our recent paper [1].
